Samsar
Energy
2022

Background
Samsar Resources needed a website that could present a highly technical and still-evolving business in a way that felt clear, credible, and commercially ready. As a company focused on extending the life of lithium-ion batteries through repurposing, logistics, financing, and battery redesign, they were operating in a space that combines sustainability, engineering, and practical energy applications. The website therefore needed to explain a complex offer without overwhelming the user.
It also needed to support multiple layers of communication at once: the broader mission around circular economy and electrification, the role of NthLife™ technology, and the different ways the product could be applied across real-world use cases such as off-grid power, e-bike battery packs, and battery swapping. Alongside that, the brief called for an Apple-inspired direction with a cleaner, more polished aesthetic and a stronger sense of structure and restraint.
Approach
I approached the project with a strong focus on structure, clarity, and presentation. The first step was to organise the content in a way that made the business easier to understand, helping visitors move more naturally through the company’s mission, technology, commercial model, and practical applications without the experience feeling too dense or technical.
I then developed a fully custom design in Figma that translated the Apple-inspired brief into a cleaner, more polished digital experience. The aim was to create something modern and product-led, with strong hierarchy, generous spacing, and a more refined sense of rhythm across the site.
Care was also taken in how different layers of the business were presented, from the broader sustainability story to the more specific role of NthLife™ technology and its real-world use cases. This created a more cohesive and credible website, with enough clarity and structure to support a complex offering without overwhelming the user.
